Did you install tk by doing:

Code: Select all

slapt-get -i tk
Please post the output of

Code: Select all

root[rich]# ls /usr/lib/tkConfig.sh

So, have you now got freecad installed?

And no, you can't blame anybody! It's not entirely predictable which dependencies may be missing on any given system, though it's usually possible to work it out from the error messages with a bit of trial and error. Over time, though, one does tend to accumulate commonly needed stuff on one's machine.
