Cheese not running

Post by Andyun »

Hello!
Salix 13.1.2 with all update:

Code: Select all

use[~]$ cheese
cheese: xcb_io.c:249: process_responses: Assertion `(((long) (dpy->last_request_read) - (long) (dpy->request)) <= 0)' failed.
Aborted
use[~]$ cheese
The program 'cheese' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadIDChoice (invalid resource ID chosen for this connection)'.
  (Details: serial 1251 error_code 14 request_code 1 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
use[~]$

I installed the official distribution Salix OS 13.1 Xfce and immediately installed the program "cheese ", but the problem remains.

The same problem in version Cheese 2.26.3, but version 2.28.1 is OK (if install gnome-desktop-2.30.2-i486-1sl.txz), but there is a video slows down during the recording (with the jerks). In general, I will use guvcview. I'm sorry for the trouble.
