How to install an USB gamepad

I have installed mednafen to play my old PC Engine games (R-Type ...) so I would be glad if I would get some hint how make work my Usb gamepad (Logitech Precision).

I saw there is some kernel module

/lib/modules/2.6.37.6-smp/kernel/drivers/input/joystick/turbografx.ko

so, by principle, it should be manageable.

If mednafen doesn't support joystick/gamepads by default and only accepts keyboard as an input device, you can install rejoystick. You'll have to map the gamepad buttons to the keyboard buttons that are used by the emulator with it.
