OS = SalixOS Xfce4 13.1
Hi guys,
I use TeamViewer6, Slackbuild installed with slapt-src. Weird problem. The tray icon is small, and sometimes it disappears or only partially appears. If I r-click on the tray, choose "customize panel", then slide the size setting from 38 to some random number and back to 38 again it fixes itself. Problem is I find I have to do this several times a day, or else deal with a missing or partially visible icon. Small issue, but irritating since the the rest of the system is so tight.
Honestly I'd like to change the icon from the one offered to another anyway. Perhaps this will fix it (or not). So:
1) Do you have a solution suggestion for the problem?, and
2) How to change the tray icon (or any tray icon in general)?
Thanks,
Dennis in New Orleans

Re: TeamViewer Tray Icon Small / Sometimes Disappears
The icon is set by the application when registering itself with the tray. I guess, you'll have a hard time changing it for TeamViewer as proprietary, closed-source software. Possibly the icon is loaded from file by swapping that file's content you could probably change it. That works only of course if the icon is not stored otherwise in some protected form.Dennola4 wrote:2) How to change the tray icon (or any tray icon in general)?

Ouch!
You just had to mention proprietary and closed-source.
Way back when I started a thread desperately trying to find a more *nixy solution, and while I do have one (vnc thru ssh), at the end of the day TeamViewer seems to be the best compromise from platform to platform, for now. http://www.salixos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2474
Anyway, I'll fool with it and see if I come up with a solution, and if so I'll post. Thanks.
