recover the keyboard settings

hi everybody

well, i was playing aroud to setup keyboard layout on salix fluxbox , i don't really what was the problem because when i reboot the system , the keyboard don't work , it means i can't type anything or neither init 3 or anything else work , so i don't have anyway to fix the problen using the console . so my question can i fix this problem using a live cd , logging as a root and editing the system files to default , because i do remember the files i edited so i can fix the problem n, keyboard map azerty , fr , the system la,guage is english . thanks , i appreciate any help :)

Yes you can. Fire up the live CD, mount the the Salix files system (it may be already mounted by Live Cd) and navigate to the file and edit it.

thanks shador for your help . I solved the problem using an old linux mint live cd because I installed the other sort of salix cd not a live on , i don't what to call it :D . anyway the proble is solved . thanks again :)
