No ethernet

Good morning to everyone
I am giving a try to Salix and i came to a problem with my Ethernet card an Agere ET131x.
The system does not see my eth0
I gave

I can see that the system found my ethernet card but i don not think the appropriate module is loading at boot.
Is there a way to solve the problem.

A quick web search shows that there is probably no support for your ethernet card in the linux kernel. At least not yet, there is one in "staging" in kernels 3.2.x, I don't know about newer kernels.

I can see there is a sourceforge project with this driver: https://sourceforge.net/projects/et131x/
You could try compiling that. No idea if it will work or not.

Very strange this one, i thought that the drivers for this card was implemented to the linux kernel since version 2.6.x. Any other linux distro that i have tryied my ethernet card works perfectly. But any way thanks for the quick answer.
