2. The program pino doesn't work. I reinstalled it from gslapt packet manager with no result.

1) A more recent version is probably available in Salix 14.0 - or else build it from source
2) How specifically does Pino not work?

EDIT On 1), I tell a lie; I thought I was using 13.37, but I'm using the RC - as you must be too? That's the Claws version in the repos, at least for now. In general, with Salix, you won't necessarily get the latest version of everything

I use 3.7.8, it does everything I need and more. I almost went with Sylpheed in fact, it was a close call.

Why do you want to install 3.9, are there any new features in it you would like to have?

The ''pino'' program, when i open it to discover what it is about, presents in the main frame, the phrase: ''connection is being diverted'' (this is a free translation from my language) and that's it. After a few seconds,at the bottom and left, appears the message : ''401 unauthorized the request requires user authentication''. I have to say though, that the specific program, recognizes the two accounts that i have on twitter and identi.ca, but i don't know what to do and what are the possibilities of it, because trying to get info, using the link that the menu ''help'' provides, shows the message : ''Wrong HTTP: Method Not Allowed''.
As for the claws mail and the new edition 3.9.0, the question made because when i 'm connecting to the net, trying to get and discover, some of the additional programs, offered for the program, they are all for this edition(3.9.0). Otherwise i agree with you that claws mail 3.7.8 is a full operated program.
