[Solved] Install gthumb (Salix 13.37 MATE)

Hi,
Im running a fresh install of Salix 13.37 Mate. I want to have gthumb but im unable to make it work.

So, i did:

from
download.salixos.org/i486/13.37/salix/gnome/
i have install gthumb-2.12.2-i486-1gv.txz using pkgtool


Next, trying to launch gthumb, i have this message:

sebaz@darkstar:~$ gthumb
gthumb: error while loading shared libraries: libclutter-gtk-0.10.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory


So i installed clutter-gtk-0.10.8-i486-1gv.txz
also from
download.salixos.org/i486/13.37/salix/gnome/

It seems to be correct...

So i re-try to lauch and i get a new message:

sebaz@darkstar:~$ gthumb
gthumb: error while loading shared libraries: libclutter-glx-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

My questions: have i done something wrong? where can i find libclutter-glx-1.0.so.0 for slackware 13.37?

You can't download and install packages like that and expect them to work. You need to use the package manager if you want dependencies to be resolved, or you'll need to deal with them yourself. Please read the startup guide.

i have install gthumb-2.12.2-i486-1gv.txz using pkgtool

I took the package manager Gslap and re-installed gthumb-2.12.2-i486-1gv.txz and it automatiquely have take care of the dependancies. My gthumb is 100% working!

I am very happy with that.
