pcmcia cardbus not working

Hello,

I have installed salix 13.37 lxde desktop on my Dell Latitude D610 laptop
and inserted a Netgear wireless pcmcia cardbus that is 32bit model MA521 and
it is 802.11b type @2.4Ghz and the pwr light on the carbus is lit
up but the lnk light is off.

When I put the cursor over the connection icon,
it says .....no wireless connections found.

Anyone have an idea how to get it working ?

Just to get the ball rolling: Have you tested this under any other Linux distros?

Sorry to all,

I just found out that the cardbus I have is a legacy model (old one)
and does not support the linux operating system, per some
articles on the Netgear database. Blah .........

I guess I'll have to go cardbus shopping on ebay.
