Midori has multilingual spell checking.

Post by djemos »

Users of openbox reported that Midori don't have multilingual or any spell checking. After heavy investigation this is the solution.

To enable multilingual spell checking on Midori e.g. want to have English and Greek and Italian spell checking.

1. install aspell-el
slapt-get -i aspell-el

For Italian install aspell-it etc

2. Then go to preferences and enable spell checking.
On the text box type el for Greek, en for English, it for Italian.
e.g. el,en,it
close and open again Midori
Type Greek and English etc words. Highlight (double click on every word) and then right click and spell checking is working.

It was so simple.

Simple indeed, yet quite awkward. Just marking a 2 letter word with shaky hands.....
and if one puts more than one language in the textbox all suggestions for those languages
show, so it is better to put only one a time as required.
