As I have in this same forum I am tracking for Lock Ups in Salix 14 Xfce.
Except while I had experienced BUGs in the i686 version. I am now tracking the x86_64bit version.
My plan is to set up a mirror install as I had but with the 64bit version. This of course is a new ISO and burn.
So far So good.
Most of what I had is installed and copied over except...
Development Tools
alx drivers
Samba set up

No lock Ups yet...
Let me be clear as I posted in http://www.salixos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4713
I believe Lock Ups Not to be a SlackWare/Salix BUG but rather a Bad install or hardware issue.

Uncross them....
I am pretty sure that it was the previous ISO burn..

I am marking this thread Solved.
After running my New Install for about a week now, all I can see is stability.
I will have to place the blame on my Original CD Burn.
Check your Download Check Sums.
Burn at a slow speed.
Install without hesitation.
