I just installed Salix LXDE 13.37 32-bit on a Pentium III system that is about 10 years old. (I was looking for a version of Linux that would run on this old hardware and Salix looked like a good candidate.) The installation went without any problems and it booted right up. (I consider myself a fairly experienced Linux user. I have installed several versions of Linux on multiple computers.)
I downloaded a .iso file and tried to burn it with Brasero. I put a blank CD-R in the CD-RW drive and before I have even selected which .iso file to burn, Brasero says "CD-R: not enough free space". I try a few other new, blank CD-R's and get the same message. I try a CD-RW disk and get "CD-RW: not enough free space". If I go ahead a select the .iso to burn, an additional message appears that says "Please replace the disk with a supported CD or DVD."
The drive is a Lite-On LTR-12101B. The same drive burns CDs just fine using Nero under Windows 98 on this same machine. Under Salix, I can read a CD that's already been burned elsewhere. I just can't get Brasero to work.
Any suggestions?

Before I saw your reply, I tried installing simpleburn, and it worked.
