[SOLVED] No Spell Check in Midori

Post by Atip »

Salix-14.1 Desktop PC

Spell check in Midori-0.5.7 is not working with Salix-14.1. :(

From previous Post in Announcement
Can't get midori to spell check.
Followed instructions as outlined in post " Midori has multilingual spell
checking.", nothing doing. Right click does not give any suggestions for any dictionary.
Miss-spelled word does show-up as red underlined, however, and can be marked.

Checked in firefox and spell checking is working, same in abiword.

Booted into salix-14.0.1 with midori-0..5.5 and spell check is working
there.

Booted back into Salix-14.1 opened midori-0.5.5 of Salix-14.0.1 and spell
check does not work.

Where could be the problem then.

Now testing midori-0.5.7 in Salix-14.0.1 and not surprisingly spell-checking
is working.

My conclusion, the problem is not with midori.

I can only confirm this. I did check midori, but it seems there is nothing wrong with it, so it must be some library it uses...

Upgraded to midori-0.5.8 and spellchecker is now working. :)
This upgrade included others from gslapt
so I cannot say for sure what corrected it.

I guess the problem was with midori 0.5.7 then, because I didn't change anything other that the version number.

You have to go Midori, and 'add' Spell-Check to the browser

Browser > Preferences > Extensions > Add (click on ) Spell-Check
