MATE without panels [solved]

Post by baran »

Hi,

I have SalixOS 14.1 MATE 32bit. Sometimes (for example when I run LibreOffice, Inkscape ...) disappears both panels. Icons are responding (the place, where are icons), but nothing to view.

This error is only, when I have enabled (checked) compositing-manager (dconf Editor - org - mate - macro - general).

Error: http://linux.remontsw.eu/salixos/mate_scr1_error.jpg
OK (but without compositing-manager): http://linux.remontsw.eu/salixos/mate_scr2_ok.jpg

Can you help me, pease? It makes me on NTB and PC desktop too. I tested othe distro (KORORA) with MATE (FC BASED) and it makes too. Is it problem of MATE?

Thank you very much.

No it is a problem with your graphics card and possibly its drivers. Simply don't enable compositing.

THNX.

Maybe, but in XFCE it works ok. And I have too compositing-manager checked.

I did come back to XFCE. And it works. This problem was on my PC and on my NTB too. Both with ATI Radeon.
