Actually i'm using kernel 3.14.24-x86_64-1. To not get downgraded to kernel 3.10 during any upgrade, i opted out kernel from being upgraded. Now, since i didn't follow that much the evolving around Salix and Slackware this last months, so i wanted to know,
a) if there was an official kernel upgrade?
b) if there is a may be suggested kernel upgrade?
Thanks a lot in advance!
kernel upgrade
Re: kernel upgrade
A) Not as far as I know
B) Gapan was kind enough to package a couple of 4* series kernels, if you're looking for something newer. See the contributed packages section http://forum.salixos.org/viewforum.php?f=20

Re: kernel upgrade
I have compiled 4.1.6 from slackware-current sources, and also modules and headers because compiler version is higher in -current.
They build fine, used the default config-huge with some minor edits.
