Viewing images in claws-mail

Claws-mail doesn't load images by default even though in configuration/preferences the "display images inline" option is checked. There is a plugin for html mail (http://www.claws-mail.org/plugin-gtkhtml2.php) and also a Slackbuild "claws-mail-extra-plugins" here: http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13.0/ ... a-plugins/ but it doesn't seem to be available from Salix ("spi -i claws-mail-extra-plugins" returns "No such package or SlackBuild"). Not sure whether I should download and install the Slackbuild from the above link if it isn't an "official" Salix build. Any help appreciated.

I'm using Salix Xfce 32 bit.

Hi Jerome,

There is a note in the readme for claws-mail (for 14.1):

The following plugins will not be built unless these optional dependencies
are found:
The clamd plugin requires clamav.
The fancy plugin requires webkitgtk.
The gdata plugin requires gdata.

It appears that newer versions of Claws-Mail are built with these options included, however, you need for instance webkitgtk for the fancy plugin to work.

If you are using an older version of Salix 13.37 then it is a separate package and its in the sbo "claws-mail-extra-plugins". 14.0 & 14.1 have the same readme posted above.

I should have mentioned I'm using Salix 14.1. Since webkitgtk is already installed I've loaded the "fancy" plugin, which I hadn't noticed. Thanks!
