If that's from SBo, it's nothing to do with us. An updated version may or may not appear in due course. However, you can always download a more recent tarball (and edit the SlackBuild file accordingly) and with luck, it should build with no further changes.
Indeed, I see it is a Salix package - from your original post, it looked as though you were talking about a SlackBuild. The same principle applies, though, in that if you really want to, you can probably build your own easily enough (see JRD's post in the topic gapan linked to).
The next Salix release is coming some time this year, it is probably safe to say, and should include a more recent version of this package.
Sorry, but that is not enough to force an update. You can either build your own package (it's really easy), or wait for the updated package that will appear in the 14.2 repositories when that is released.
