Network problems Solved

I tried the salix64-xfce-14.1.iso in VirtualBox and everything worked fine. Installed to hard disk and could not connect to the internet. In the notification area was WiCD, but I have a wired connection. Realtek RTL8168C(P) On the virtualbox WiCD was not installed, but it could connect fine, no icon for networking. I am confused and tired. Thanks

Re-made my USB and re-installed. The only change I made was to switch to the GeorgiaTech mirror. Now everything is working fine. The mistake must have been on my end. Thanks
