Hello,
I've just installed GoogleEarth from slackbuilds.org, but I can't run it. I type "googleearth" in the terminal, and the GoogleEarth splash appears for some seconds, then the applications stops with a useless error message which says that GoogleEarth crashed (how surprising), and this may be a bug in the program. I checked the log , it tells that all of the .so-s were OK, the last entry is "googleearth-bin [anaddress]".
I'm using a 64-bit system, transformed to multilib. Other 32-bit apps, such as wine, work fine.
Can it be really a bug in the program?
Thanks, lipk
GoogleEarth crash with multilib
Re: GoogleEarth crash with multilib
Hmm. You could try the i486 Salix package (available HERE) but I'm guessing you'll have the same problem as it's the binary as provided by Google repackaged for slackware/salix, same as the slackbuild (but maybe not as the package available in the repos now is likely an older version - you'll have to try it to see).
Re: GoogleEarth crash with multilib
Same
Did anybody get it working?

Did anybody get it working?
Re: GoogleEarth crash with multilib
It is working on my computer.
But I get the earth only as a white ball.
So I think this is because of my nvidia-driver.
I only use maps.google.de

Just a white ball? Why is this surprising? You don't have 20 metres of snow there?
