TRackball question

Hi, I bought a trackball the other day and I'm experimenting in using it as a mouse replacement in my desktop, but the thing is that the trackball doesn't have a scroll wheel like the mouse (duh!).
I was thinking that perhaps I can sort of emulate or induce a scroll-like behavior with some key combination.

So I ask, is there any way to make that if I press, let's say, the windows key (or any other key) the cursor movement is converted to scroll movement?

How many buttons does your trackball have? You could use the middle button, if there is one: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/How_to_co ... #Scrolling

If you want it in firefox only, it's very easy, just open about:config and change general.autoscroll to True.

I guess that if you don't have a middle button in your trackball, you could emulate it with "Emulate3Buttons" by pressing right and left at the same time.

No idea how comfortable any of that would be on a trackball, never used one.

sorry for the delay, the trackball has only two buttons
