Best tips for optimising battery usage on Salix?

This isn't really a problem, per say. I've searched to forum for 'governor', 'ondemand', and other similar words. I was wondering if someone could post a few tips on how to extend battery time on Salix. A quick guide on the steps would be very much appreciated. I remember tlp from a while back and I know there are some systemd programs that do this such as cpupower but obviously, those are a no go here (which is fine as I like being systemd free). I thought I would tap this wonderful forum to find out what has worked well for the experts in best approaching usage along the lines of windows using their power save mode (while on battery).

What I'm trying to extend battery life is tlp and undervolt. Will see how it goes.

Did you try powertop and laptop-mode-tools?

I haven't tried powertop and laptop-mode-tools, yet. It's been doing fairly well with tlp and undervolt.
