With this setup, Salix has been working "without" an Elogind process.

It probably wouldn't be possible to replace Eudev with a truly Systemd-free kind, right?

Speaking of Xfce, I was also able to get it back to 4.12 by using the TXZ files I downloaded from Salix 14.2's repository. I had to do it from another environment (like LXDE) and remove all the Xfce packages after, and then meticulously install the older packages I wanted. I think it was a Pango conflict I needed to correct as to why my keyboard shortcuts weren't registering, but after all is said and done, I got full functionality of Xfce 4.12 on a Salix 15.0 desktop. :)

I also shortened the list of GTK3 stuff, except for things like GSlapt, GParted, GSmartControl, Transmission, etc., which otherwise have symbol lookup problems or segmentation fault messages.
