in fact, it crashes very rarely. and i can name at least 5 popular "stable non-alpha" linux players that crash all the time.

In fact, there is, in my opinion, two great product - and the player Deadbeef & SalixOS.
I have them on your computer quite safely combined
Why flame? Build txz-package from source no problem!
A player, really, good and stable. And its author is actually quite sane. Despite the first word on this forum
