Hello. I used gslapt to update/upgrade my 13.1 install (xfce). I was surprised to see at least two qt packages (qt and pyqt) installed. I also saw some new entries in the menu: gnu privacy assisstant, scism startup, ffado mixer. Can I remove the qt packages? Are there other packages that can be removed?

Re: Update 8/18
Those were added as indirect dependencies of guvcview. guvcview depends on portaudio, which depends on jack, which depends on libffado, which depends on PyQt, which depends on qt. Start removing packages from the end and check if guvcview works. If it does, go on until it doesn't. I haven't tried it, so I don't know.
Oh, the gnu privacy assistant and scim entries were already there, you just didn't notice them before.

Re: Update 8/18
If you do not really need the disk space just leave them installed. They won't harm in any way

Re: Update 8/18
Fair enough. I was mostly surprised to see them added. No harm done.
