evince not open link on document

Post by submax »

evince not open link on document, with this error:

"Esecuzione del processo figlio "/usr/lib/firefox-3.6.8/firefox" non riuscita (No such file or directory)"

I think that "/usr/lib/firefox-3.6.8/firefox" must be "/usr/lib/firefox-3.6.10/firefox" but would be better simply to use "firefox" or "/usr/lib/firefox/firefox" for remove version dependence.

thanks!

I am Italian, i love salix & slackware!

Copy'n paste a link to openoffice, press space or similar for it to recognize the PDF then export as PDF. Here evince is trying to use epiphany.

I found that using gconf-editor, there are settings for configure a firefox path (example /usr/lib/firefox-3.5.3/firefox "%s")

/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/chrome/command
/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/https/command
/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http/command
/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/ftp/command

But in the SLKBUILD gconf support is disable, wrong path of firefox must be in other place :?:

Perhaps this is affected by the default browser setting. But I cannot remember where to set it and what's the command to launch the default browser.
