@gapan i think it might have to do with cookies ..i did some researching and found out that ubuntu/some versions had this problem ...turned out to be cookies and stuff and i can confirm it since it looks normal currently - log for keeping - @ 6:19AM

Your opening post did not mention that you had installed proprietary nvidia driver. This is important information. Or perhaps it isn't. Good luck.

You are obviously better at picking up my frustration and sarcasm than I am at finding a solution to your problem.

My only other suggestion would be to remove the nvidia module and try running with the (probably) nouveau module.

Mrs knome has a goodly supply of sticks!
