Xfce 'keyboard shortcuts' not functioning

Post by pwatk »

Hi all,

I have a key bind set for the Super_L (Windows) key in the Xfce keyboard settings to run a script in /usr/bin/local that turns my ALPS touchpad on and off but it only seams to work about 50% of the time.

Initially I did have an issue with HAL unloading the synaptics Xorg module which caused the script not to work but since fixing this (and after some testing) I realised that even the preset binds had stopped functioning.

I've tried restarting X a few times but key binds only seam to come back after a system reboot which seams odd.

Has anyone else had an issue with this?

Thanks.

I have Super_L linked to launching Terminal here. It has never stopped working. I remember someone else reporting something similar though. Sorry, no idea what might be wrong.

Thanks. It must be something in my config, I'll create another user at some point and see if that cures it.
