I am trying to be a salix newbie, but when I put in the live distro (13.0.1) it calls for a user name and password. I have used many linux distros and they all calll for root or guest as user. This one refuses all, then the password should be like all others, I assume, but it refuses those also.. what to do? I am not new to linux but I wanted to try salix. Any ideas?

Normally, SalixLive has autologin activated. At what stage are you asked for this password exactly?

Otherwise, the regular user is one & doesn't need a password
And as 4-stroke pointed out, the root password is live
