Salix 13.1.2 amd64 installation does not complete correctly
hi list,
I am not sure if I have found a bug:
On my Dell grub2 multi-booting (Windows 7, Debian Stable & Unstable) netbook (Intel Atom N450 64 bits processor), Salix 13.1.2 amd64 installation does not complete correctly.
The same problem is occuring under Qemu or Virtualbox (ICH6 chipset selected). I've performed an autoinstall (wiping virtual disk), a FULL install, skipped the USB flash boot creation, enabled Numlock and SCIM, entered the root password. Then I am informed that Salix installation is complete and am asked to reboot. But the following boot does not succeed because there is not even a kernel installed.
Under Virtualbox on my laptop, Salix 13.1.2 x86 installs flawlessly.
Any hint, guys?
Thanks
Didier Gaumet.

No, lilo is not installed: from the moment you give root a password it jumps directly to "installation complete, reboot" message, bypassing all intermediary step.

[SOLVED]Re: Salix 13.1.2 amd64 installation does not complet
Sorry for the delay... and for the noise:
The downloaded image had a good checksum, but despite the "success" message displayed by the burning software (brasero), there was a problem with the burnt CD-RW. After burning the image onto a DVD+RW, Salix64 installed sucessfully.
Thanks for your patience
