Whaa blank screen

Trying Salix 13.1.1 (LXCD version) I found a problem with Whaa. If if switch to full-screen mode, or press fast-forward, the screen goes black.

The last time I tried Salix, the media player was Parole, which was much better.

Get the gnome-media package and run gstreamer-properties. Change the video output to something else and see if it works better. Probably some incompatibility with your video card and the default renderer.

Changing the output makes no difference. Stopping and re-starting gets a video going when the blank screen is caused by changing the window size. As for fast forward, that doesn't seem to work.

I've just installed Parole, and that works! I think supplying Whaa was a mistake.

That doesn't really make much sense since they are both using exactly the same backend and they both work fine here in several different systems. But if you found one that works for you, that's good.
