Greetings. I got to say to the devel team...WOW. I am wondering what took me so long to check Salix out. And I am impressed. Just switched to Salix Xfce after one of my whirlwind Distro tours (about every 6-9 months, this time it was Salix KDE, Arch xfce, Arch KDE, Debian Squeeze, Aptosid, all in 10 days) yea, I know, serious case of Distro Attention Deficit Disorder.
My current impression is that I have found exactly what I am looking for, and have been looking for for a few years. Approachable enough that it does not take 3 weeks to get a system up and running (don't get me wring, I love Arch, but sometimes I just don't have the time) and technical enough that I get to have my fine control, and much loved console time.
I haven't been this impressed or exited about a distro in a long, long time. Fast, Clean, and looks REALLY great! Great work folks!
