9999999999999999999999999999 at boot

i really like salix on my desktop ,it runs without a hitch and seems fast (really fast), i tried loading it on my laptop and install seems to go easy with no problems. when the install is complete and i am promted to reboot all that the screen shows is a bunch of 9s ie 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999009999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 and thats it what am i doing wrong?

Or you can simply boot your machine with any of Salix Live CD and use LiloSetup (in System menu) with which you can fix Lilo in a mere couple clicks.

...if you're using a 32 bits installation, because there is no Salix Live 64 bits...yet !
