[SOLVED]pcmanfm view as detailed list
[SOLVED]pcmanfm view as detailed list
On Fluxbox 13.37 x86_64, with pcmanfm, when I change the View to detailed list, I am unable to select sub-directories. I have seen some bugs with other distros such as https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/18904 . It looks like it is an issue with GTK2. Anyone know how I can go about getting this to work, without downgrading my packages.

Confirmed. Seems nothing we can do now though. You can try the newer pcmanfm+libfm from sourcery/slapt-src, but that one has other bugs.
Re: pcmanfm view as detailed list
I read pcmanfm-mod has a fix for it, which seems to be a fork of the old pcmanfm.

For me mounting USB sticks did never work in new pcmanfm.gapan wrote:Confirmed. Seems nothing we can do now though. You can try the newer pcmanfm+libfm from sourcery/slapt-src, but that one has other bugs.
Re: pcmanfm view as detailed list
Thanks for your replys, I think for now I will keep it the same, since the only thing affected for me is the detailed view. I can get the same info other ways.

Yes, indeed pcmanfm-mod seems to work fine. We'll probably replace the existing package with this one. But lets try it out for a while first. Here are the packages:
32-bit: http://pnboy.pinguix.com/gapan/salix/pc ... 86-1gv.txz
64-bit: http://pnboy.pinguix.com/gapan/salix/pc ... 64-1gv.txz

64-bit: http://pnboy.pinguix.com/gapan/salix/pc ... 64-1gv.txz
Re: [SOLVED]pcmanfm view as detailed list

Works like a champ! Well I tried the 64 bit version and that problem is no more.gapan wrote:Yes, indeed pcmanfm-mod seems to work fine. We'll probably replace the existing package with this one. But lets try it out for a while first. Here are the packages:
EDIT: Ok spoke too soon, the one thing I found is that I am unable to unmount my external HD. Mounting is no problem, I can unmount in terminal or gksu pcmanfm.

Just as info: new pcmanfm/libfm depends on udisks for mounting. So these additional deps are needed:thenktor wrote:For me mounting USB sticks did never work in new pcmanfm.gapan wrote:Confirmed.
