Just an introduction

Post by welan »

Good day all;
Just wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm quite impressed with Salix.
I'm currently looking for a new distro (not enjoying the distro hopping thing at all)
I've been a long time suse user, but due to recent events that have left me wondering about "suse's" future, I've decided it's time to move on. First I decided I wanted a slackware like/or based distro. It has to be something not overloaded but still have access to all the bells and whistles. I like to keep my desktop minimal and use apps that are not resource hogs.
Which brings up the question; "is gkrellm available?" I know seems frugal for a KDE user.
Anyways not to babble on, looking forward to braking/running Salix.
Cheers all!

Welcome to Salix.
