I wonder whether HTML5 is going to take over flash or Chrome(ium) with flash becomes the default Linux browser

Well, there are still open source alternatives and the hope for html5 (also for mobile devivces with Android, iOS,...). What do you mean by "Chrome with flash"? Chrome also needs a flash plugin as long as you aren't using html5.

I mean "Google is expected to take over with a Flash Player implementation based upon a new API, but only for Google Chrome-based web-browsers. "

Why should they do so? They already have pushed html5/webm with youtube site and I don't know anything else from Google that is based on flash.
