[Solved] Salix XFCE 13.37 - VirtualBox auto-resizing

Post by dias75 »

Excuse my bad english. I am writing a google - translator.
I have downloaded Salix OS XFCE 13.37 (NEW) and installed it in VirtualBox 4.1.8 ( host - Ubuntu )
Screen resolution - 800*600. After installation Guest Additions auto-screen-resizing is not working correctly

I reinstalled guest additions several times, but it did not help.

When I used an older version I had no problems and got after installing kernel-source and Guest Additions мy screen resolution 1366*768 ( auto-screen-resizing) notebook without any problems.
How to solve this problem - fully working in VirtualBox with auto-screen-resizing ? Advice please .

A similar problem has SliTaz

Did you do it like this:
1. install kernel-source
2. install guest additions
3. reboot

:) Thank you! Now it works.
I have read http://www.salixos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3117
"..missing header in kernelive that prevented to install VirtualBox or VMWare additions without installing kernel-source "
and thought that the kernel-source were no longer needed.
