Hello, there.
I've got Ubuntu on my computer, which I primarily use for loading other distros installed on the same machine as well as general use. I'm planning to install Salix OS on it, and I wouldn't want the installation process to overwrite what is already there in the MBR. Otherwise I would have to use a Ubuntu LiveCD to recover the GRUB2 afterwards.
Is it possible to specify the device for boot loader installation (in this case, the partition in which Ubuntu resides) during installation of Salix?
Thanks a lot in advance.
EDIT: I'm using a Salix Installation CD, if that helps.
Installation: Loading Salix OS using Ubuntu's GRUB2?
Re: Installation: Loading Salix OS using Ubuntu's GRUB2?
You should select to NOT install LILO at the end of the installation process. Then you can just add salix in your ubuntu's grub config.
