Low resolution on Nvidia GT520-[SOLVED]

Hello

I recently installed the mentioned graphic card and downloaded the drivers from the manufacturer. How can I install it properly and get higher resolution?
(Just the command libes)

Well THX, I tried it at least 3 times, for some reason I can't login as administrator in run level 3.

PS> I have salix 13.37 64 bit.

That can only happen if you're typing your password wrong.

Maybe, because there is "darkstar login" and whenever i try login says failed login or something like that.

Er.. unless I misunderstand, "darkstar login" is just the prompt for a username which in this case is root :?

OK, let me summarize my steps:
-i became root
-switched to run level 3 it said "darkstar login"
- i typed my username and login it said login filed
I`m a chemist, please be patient.

Er, in that case why didn't take this command "cd ~<youruser>" (I know i must replace the <youruser> by my user name).

EDIT: when i try switch into level 4 for some reason i need to restart because it says "incorrect login".

What version and desktop are you running? Try running the nvidia installation instructions after a reboot.

From the console/terminal I don't have any problems logging in as root or a user, switching between init 3 and init 4, or using the cd command. Perhaps there is something in your set-up causing a problem?
