My new salix 14.0

Friends of Salix, my honest greetings. Only yesterday, after a lot of thought, i installed to my old laptop, hp compaq nx6110, the new edition of Salix 14.0. I'm saying a lot of thought, besause of the fact that i was completelly satisfieted with Salix 13.37. Luckily i wasn't disappointed and speaking now, i would say that i should upgrade my os, earlier. The only thing that i didn't like was the fact that i couldn't find my favourite program ''stardict''. I have to mention that the particular program helped me to pass with success, 3 terms of the bulgarian language in the university. I wonder why there isn't preinstalled in this version and i want to ask if there is any way of find that or simillar program.

Actually after posting my very unprofessional version, I noticed that GRITAR is moderator of the Greek sub-forum here. Perhaps his post was misplaced, or...

The real story goes like this: I wrote a post reporting my problem, to the greek forum and to be sure that i would have an answer, i copied it to the ''problem'' sub forum, intenting to translate it in English and delete the greek text afterwards. In that time, in the hole story, makes his entrance to the ''scene'', my little sun, who constanlty insisted to play an online game. Then happened the mistake and in my hurry i closed quickly the site. I'm apologising for the whole misunderstanding. I also want to thank you for the help you gave me. I really meant when i mentioned that the particullar program, stardict, is very helpfull to me. It's another thing when you are connected to the internet and you want to translate a word and completelly different to work with a whole text, let's say in bulgarian language.

I followed the istructions given, but the program seems to don't work properly. More specifically, there's no possibility of choosing bulgarian language to translate to or from, to let's say, greek and when i write a word in e.g english and press the botton to be translated e.g to france, it always appears the phrase not found.

As we say in England, είστε μαστίγωμα ένα νεκρό άλογο (you are flogging a dead horse). Stardict has regressed. Read this...

The current version accesses web-based dictionaries and translators, though Google Translate and Yahoo Translate don't work making the program pretty useless. You can access something called Net dic but you have to register and log on (Why??).

You could try installing Xfce4 Dictionary (Program and Xfce Panel Plugin) with slapt-src -i xfce4-dict
This gives you local access to http://www.dict.org/bin/Dict but they don't offer a Bulgarian dictionary so it may be no good.

As with chess (and one day, Go), I suspect that machine translation will eventually become useful in some contexts ... this machine doesn't even understand the English present continuous. And is that last word really the modern Greek for "hippos"?
