salix-update-notifier running twice

I notice that the salix-update-notifier is running twice: Htop shows them with PID 1604 ans PID 1606 both with priority 20. Is that intended; and if not where could i correct that?

(Effectively the update-notifier always appears twice in the systray too).

Known bug. Happens if you logout/login often. It needs a redesign in order to fix.
