[Solved] VLC MUST be 100, or blares 1000 times too loud

When I play VLC media player, it has to be set to 100, otherwise (over or under does not matter!!!) it goes so loud it burst my eardrums! Turning it down UNDER 100 actually turns it UP!!! anything even 99-0 it is sooo loud it hurts.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated. Thanks.

nope. the parole player and the whaah! media player does not do this.

Try deleting all vlc settings
