I get logged out unexpectedly.

I'm using the latest version of Salix and I get logged out at random times. Also midori closes out randomly as well.

Could this be a problem with my video drivers?

Could be. Is it really at random or when you've left the PC unattended for a while? Check your screensaver settings. There might be one that is using 3D and causes your video card drivers to break.

I forgot to mention that this is a fresh install. I'm new to this distro and decided to get my feet wet.

It's not when I leave unattended and have not got that far yet. It has happened when I surf the web or play around with the apps and it would suddenly log me out or close the app out.

I always set a screen saver because they are nice to have and use and is good for the pixels (no burn in). The 3D ones are the ones I use and sometimes the 2D ones. I really like the flying toasters one.

Is there anything in you ~/.xsession-errors that points to what the problem might be?

Don't be put off by the "beta" label. It should be quite stable.
