I can confirm the download folder bug occurs in the spanish locale as well
the weird thing is that the translated .po file has the correct translations for 'download' in it
Looking at the xdg-user-dirs source, the "Download" directory has been renamed to "Downloads" by default. The translations for the "Downloads" string in the spanish es.po and russian ru.po files are marked as fuzzy, which means that they are not actually used. So, someone needs to update the translations.

It seems that error is not in translation but in themselves sources.
I looked at the source package from PCLinuxOS, there are many patches made.

No. The problem is in the translations. Read my previous post. If you want to have this fixed, go over at the the xdg-user-dirs homepage and assist with translating.
