Salix is in general the best, but it may be perfect

Some good words in the beginning.
So except few things i have no that "cheap plastic" feeling, i mean it is not made for fulfilling the plan, and whenever i worked in windows (especially with Vista and 7 -when i am forced working with them) or kubuntu i have that feeling.

So my suggestions (based on my experiences with Salix OS 13.0):
1) Don`t force lames (like me ) think, i have problems with mounting the drives , should it be automatized after start and installation of Salix OS.
2)Some application like file manager or torrent client have more transparent version, actually i have "that" feeling when i use them.
You must too much search when you are Linux newbie like me , the "where i saw that? crap i lost it" syndrome may appear when a newbie working on/in it.

Maybe that is all.

I don't understand what's the issue with Thunar File Manager, can you be more specific?

OK, the answer is easy, if you come from "Msh?t" the first thought when you look at the torrent and to the file manager is WTF is this/that?
Its geekish and unfamiliar.

Another thin is i want open a PC shop in period of half year, i want sell cheap multimedia PC for students with Salix OS.
So you should make it much more easier to control following the philosophy "less is sometimes more".
In other words something like Mac OS X and its applications.

How can it get much less than Thunar and Transmission? Both have no features at all

No, they don`t have the right futures at all.

It is in my subscribe, i want do the same thing for Salix as Steve Jobs did for the computers. Bring it to the average user.

So, we need make the upgrade half-automatic. For example a notification will show up (something like this: ). If the user opens it it will show a dialog window with question (Do you want upgrade Salix to the "number" version?). If he says no then another notification will be show up in system configuration (?) with text: "Upgrade the system".

Another thin is, the mounting of NTFS disks should be automatic, so after mounting the name will be shoved or the disk type (the name of the manufacturer and the size).

The third thing is, we need a live CD for x86-64 bit.

The reason why i´m asking you is simple, you guys are smart enough to figure it out how to do it.

Or am i wrong? (It`s a challenge.)

We already have this for package updates, but I guess you want to have it for distribution upgrades. This won't be implemented because:
* Salix is meant for lazy, advanced users. Those who can run the few upgrade commands on their own
* Single click upgrades usually don't work in all circumstances. In fact I don't feel really comfortable if I do such things on e.g. OpenSuse.

Really!? I didn't think there is easier way to do it than going to gslapt, marking up the software you want to install and click apply!
Same goes for Sourcery. If that is too hard go to terminal:

Using scary setup programs to install stuff is not easier at all Actually you may want to try OS X instead
