I have reinstalled the openoffice package and logged out and in again ...

While we're on it. distcc monitor should get an icon, too. ;)
Oh and I recommend running this: ;)

I know (g)paco is among them. :roll:
I think it's enough if that's fixed with the next build/version of the affected package. Not really critical.

A quick fix will be to symlink all missing icons to the default theme :?

Check if it helps to add hicolor to the "Inherits=" line in /usr/share/icons/$THEMENAME/index.theme.

Why are the OO icons only in gnome-brave? Doesn't the OO package provide icons itself?

EDIT: Indeed the OO package is missing icons!
