If you also have duplicated the GPG-KEY file from the repository, just run slapt-get --add-keys .

Forget it for now, gapan -- I'm going to download the new salix-13.1.1-lxde and work with that -- thanks.
Got the salix-13.1.1-xfce local repo functioning fine, however, after a try or two.
Learning slackware&salix is like learning DOS for the first time -- time-consuming, but rewarding. Thanks to all.
